Vision-Based Edge AI: From Camera to Face Recognition
A beginner-friendly, demonstration-led workshop showing how camera frames move through face detection, cropping and recognition on a completely offline Edge-AI system.
What this workshop covers
Experience a real vision-based Edge-AI pipeline from beginning to end. Students will see how a camera supplies frames, how the system detects and isolates a face, how relevant facial information is processed, and how known and unknown identities are distinguished. Python, OpenCV and the available V1126 Edge-AI setup will support the demonstration. The complete demonstrated workflow operates locally without cloud processing or internet connectivity. This is a guided 90-minute learning and demonstration workshop, not a promise that every participant will individually build a complete face-recognition system.

Who can attend this workshop?
Students from Class XI to undergraduate level may apply. Complete beginners are welcome and no coding prerequisite is required.
Is internet connectivity required?
No. The demonstrated camera and AI-inference pipeline operates locally without cloud processing or internet connectivity.
Will every participant build a face-recognition system?
No. This is a guided 90-minute demonstration and learning workshop. Participants will see and understand the complete pipeline rather than individually developing an entire system.
Is participation free?
Yes. Participation is absolutely free, subject to registration, eligibility, capacity and seat confirmation.
